As previous post you should really compile this plugin for your particular linux installation. Generally 32 bit plugins will not work on a 64 bit linux Gimp, although it might be worth installing the ia32 packages.

Compiles very easily with a straight make

Fortunately, Gimp plugins are very simple entities, so one of these might (note the might) work. Unpack the .tar.gz gives 2 files, use either the 32 or 64 version as appropriate. Goes in your ~/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins folder. The permissions should already be set but always check that it is executable.

You find it in the Gimp menu Filters -> Generic

This is a plugin that I use frequently, just for sharpening, find it less obvious than unsharpmask.

Understatement of the century Wink and they go all over the place in /usr/share/gimp/2.0/scripts/ & /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/

PITA

edit: for reference there is a list of the files in the package here https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/gi...y/filelist

RE: Wavelet Decompose
I got it by going to Ubuntu Software Center and searching for gimp and add all the extras for gimp. When finish it was there with g'mic and tons other stuff. I will never get all these extras figured out. I am still trying to figure out the non extras. lol
