Question Using an ICC profile between different OS's?
Dear all,

I lately decided to get a little bit more serious with the gimp and
as a first step, calibrate my monitor. I'm using linux but also dual
boot to windows. I have a question and I'd be grateful if I could get
some feedback:

In case I have a hard time running some colorimeter under linux (I
did get somewhat intimidated by some internet posts), is it okay if
I create an ICC profile under windows and then use it in linux? Seems
to me that the answer should be a definite yes, but I'd better hear it
from somebody else who knows that stuff.

Also, could you recommend some cheap yet decent colorimeter? (if it
works under linux, that'll be a plus).

Thank you in advance for your time.

RE: Using an ICC profile between different OS's?
Apparently the answer is positive, one can use an icc profile
between different OS's (which does make sense anyway).
