Question Unwanted outline
I did a cut-out by selecting around an image,
then making the outside transparent by pasting the selected image into a 2nd layer with transparent background.
Then I erased the original layer.
Afterwards I exported to PNG.

On a second attempt I stroked the outside edge with white, and still the unwanted outline was there.
As kindly suggested by GarryP from the Scribus forums, I also checked carefully on whether I was using any feathering or similar on the selection, to avoid it, but none was used.
The problem seems only noticeable when using a white backdrop for any subject. Only reason this problem doesn't show with the black dot below is because the background is grey. However if you're to use that image in a desktop publishing program like Scribus and import it in, then the default background will be white. Then export it to a PDF file, then the outline I'm talking about should show. You can use the black dot to test it.

Below screenshots show: 1- what it looks like from Scribus, and 2- what it looks like from Adobe Reader, respectively
