Star Turning a picture into a painting
Hello everyone. I want to put a painting with a peacock on my wall. Unfortunately it is very expensive at the store which sells it so I decided to print it out myself and frame it. I managed to find a high resolution image but there is something weird about it. It looks almost like a vectorial image if you zoom it. So I tried to make it look like a painting but it still doesn't look quite right. I followed the advice I found here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/48637250@N...108510544/

Quote:Duplicate Layer (or New From Visible, if you've got multiple layers already)
Filters->Enhance->Despeckle, Adaptive OFF, Recursive ON, Radius 2, Black level -1, White level 256
Set layer opacity to about 80 or 90%.

I then applied a canvas filter. The results can be seen in the attached images. Any suggestions on how to improve?
If you look at the shades on the lower part they still look very sharp compared to how it should look like.

First picture is what I downloaded, second is what I managed to to do, last one is how it should look like.
