trouble with password
I forgot my password when i tried to log in a few days ago - gimp forums sent me a new one, and said "once you login you should change it by going to your User Control Panel."
When i logged in just now, i tried to change my password, using the two spaces in the Change Your Password panel. I typed it in twice, and the response was that my password was incorrect. That seemed quite strange since I was trying to change it in the box provided. But i typed it in twice, again, and got the same response.
How can I change my password if I'm told it's incorrect??

RE: trouble with password
Ok, it took me a second read to understand more your problem.

On top of those two spaces there should be a "Current Password:" space
-type the password you got in your e-mail here, tab to the next box
Then there are those two boxes you were talking about
-New password & -Confirm Password:

Very carefully (...write & save your new password that you make somewhere safe)
Type in your new password, then re-type it in the confirm.
Then click "Update Password"

*then it should work.

RE: trouble with password
Thank you, it worked!
I was thrown off by the fact that the Current Password was already filled in; I assumed it was the one I used to log in - but obviously it wasn't.
My apologies for not having been more clear, and Thanks! again.
