Transparency not showing in gimp |

Transparency not showing in gimp
My SVG image included shows transparency between shapes when I open it in a browser but not when I open it is GIMP. How can I get transparency to show in GIMP?
Each shape has it's own path but is not in its own layer. Is the problem with my SVG file which I created programmatically with javascript or with how I am importing or using it in GIMP? This is the image.  Illustration.svg (Size: 3.84 KB / Downloads: 14)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks |
