Translation in Gimp 2.8
In Gimp 2.6 the User Interface was nearly perfect translated to Dutch.
Now I upgraded Gimp (via ppa) to 2.8 and the translation is nearly complete gone.

My questions:
- is there a possibility to copy the translation from 2.6 to 2.8?
- how can I support the translation of the UI to Dutch?
- in what file and directory can I find the translation?

I don't know who currently does the Swedish translation but you can ask on the developer's mailing list (looking at its recent archive may elicit a more complete answer):

Thanks for the quick answer. and sorry, I forgot to tell that I live in the Netherlands, so my language is Dutch.
Besides:
Isn't there a possibility to have a separate translation file, like in the past the .mo or .po files?

Perhaps cousins, but very far in the family....
The translation in 2.8 is not much more as 5%.
Are the translation files included in Gimp? In that case someone took the wrong translation file while compiling the Gimp.........

As far as I understand it, the problem is that some file got truncated to the 61 first entries in the 2.8 build, resulting in partial translations files being generated.

Well, in that case it means waiting till 2.8.1 is released and the developper had solved this problem.

Thanks for your answers.
