Transferring settings/plugins, etc.
I've currently got things set up a certain way on my laptop but just have a barebones installation on my desktop. I'm wanting to set up the installation on my desktop the way it is on my laptop, but I'd like to do that without having to tediously install everything again.

Is there a built-in way to transfer settings/plugins/scripts/patterns, etc. or does anyone know of some quick and dirty ways of transferring everything over rather than re-installing everything one by one?

Thanks.

RE: Transferring settings/plugins, etc.
If you did it properly, in other words, installed plugins/scripts/patterns in your own Gimp profile, it's a very simple matter of copying the whole profile. The only thing that won't work is your history, unless you happen to have like-named files at the same place.

If you installed things in the Gimp installation tree, then you have to find your additions and copy them over. Hint: using the "creation time" in the file explorer which quickly show which file have been installed with Gimp (a bunch of oldest files with almost identical creation time) and what has been installed later (creation time more recent).
