Tilting an image

Tilting an image
Hi all. I'm attempting to tilt this image for use in a game im writting. I've been using Map Object and rotation (Y) but this then causes pixel colour changes on the boundary with the background colour. How would I tilt this picture without getting the problem?

The background is purple because that's the colour (255, 0, 255) my program ignores when drawing sprites. It did cross my mind that maybe I could tilt the image with no background, but I'd have to be able to select everything but that purple bit and then create a new image and paste it into that. Does that make any sense?
