Tiled background
I'm going to be making a background for the website my friend is making.

I want it to be grey and maybe textured. (I just want it to look nice.) And I need it to look the same when repeated in either direction.

How would I go about doing this, and do you guys have any tips?

I'm fairly familiar with GIMP but I'm by no means professional, so bear with me.

Thanks guys Smile

Take you background tile image, and apply "Filter/Map/Make seamless". This is the standard issue plugin, you may find more specialized stuff in the Gimp registry or googling for "seamless tiling".
