I use Gimp alot to make beautiful banners . I add text into them. The problem I am having [you are going to love this]. I made a beautiful banner for a friend and installed it on a website. [get ready to laugh] I spelled his name wrong. I put the banner back into Gimp but I can't figure out how to alter the text. Do I need to make a new banner or can this be changed??

RE: Text
I am a real noob at this, but made a similar mistake...

Did you save it as an image file (you probably did), or in the native GIMP format (xcf)? If you saved it as an image, I do not believe there is an easy way to fix the text. I saw that in a chapter of the online documentation, but cannot recall the context. The doc said if you are creating something with several layers, save it in the native format first then save it as an image (i.e., jpg). I have done that with a couple images I put together. If I wanted to change the text, I would edit the .xcf file, change it, save it, then save as to a jpg file.

Good luck
