Tattoo to follow body?
Hi, I am really new to Gimp and am trying to figure out how the heck to get an image to look realistic on a body.

Reference

That picture above has a Ubuntu tattoo on her arm that looks REALLY good. CAn someone please point me to a good tutorial for this? I can't seem to find one that really helps.

RE: Tattoo to follow body?
1) put the logo on transparent background in "grain merge" mode

2) Use "Filters/Map/Map object" to bend the tatoo (using cylinder or sphere depending on body part). This filter isn't for the weak in the knees or the faint of the heart but it does the job(*). Pay special attention to light direction (and remove all specular reflection) which should match the picture.

But here, give n the Ubuntu name on the shirt and the Nvidia logo on the knickers, both in heavily wrinkled areas, the tattoo may not have been 'shopped in (or the author is a true artist).

(*) it is actually sensitive to the whole size of the layer. If you want to warp the tattoo on the arm, you measure the arm diameter at 100px, so the arm circumference is 300px, so you have to make a 300px wide layer with the tatoo in the middle.
