Surface Pro Input Devices problem

I'm using a surface pro (just bought it so I'm new to Win 8) and I'm having trouble with configuring input devices. From what I understand, the surface pro uses wacom drivers for pressure sensitivity using the pen and touchscreen.

Unfortunately, these devices don't show up in the "configure input devices" screen. The only thing I see is the core pointer. See the screenshot if you don't believe me!

Here's what I've done:
1. Confirmed that the pressure sensitivity does in fact work. I downloaded the Microsoft app Fresh Paint and pressure sensitivity works beautifully.
2. Installed the Wacom Feel IT driver. I don't know if this was necessary... I think the surface already has the drivers installed. I think they were included in a windows update but I'm not sure how to check that they are installed.
3. I uninstalled 2.8.10 and installed a 32-bit version of 2.6.12. That didn't work either.

Has anyone dealt with this issue before? I was really looking forward to using GIMP with pressure sensitivity. Internet searches haven't been much help as most forum posts are from before the wacom drivers were released (they came several months after the surface pro was released), and I'm not exactly in that situation.

Thanks in advance

RE: Surface Pro Input Devices problem
First try the pressure options on the brush dynamics
Preset: "pressure opacity"
(you might want to try to make a custom dynamic.)

Then in Gimp look at:
Edit > Preferences > Input Devices
> Input controllers

Does the tablet appear under the "Available column" ? If so move it to the "Active" column
My available controllers are:
- DirectX DirectInput
-Mouse Buttons
-Mouse Wheel

RE: Surface Pro Input Devices problem
There we go! I grabbed the paint brush and set the dynamics to pressure opacity, and suddenly my pen was in the list of input devices. I don't know if that actually did it or if it was coincidence. Regardless, it's working great now. Thanks for your help.
