Split image into tiles
I have several images at different sizes, all multiples of 256x256px in size, all the way up to the largest being 4096x4096. I want to split the image into 256x256 tiles and then save them as .jpg images with a set naming scheme to indicate the tile's position in the original image. It would also be nice to specify some of the JPEG export settings in the script. I have been using GIMP for years but have never attempted any of the scripting stuff, so I'm a bit lost. Basically, I'm trying to replace Zoomify Express with a GIMP script in order to give myself a little more control over quality settings (at the highest zoom setting, I don't want any JPEG optimization or compression, but I would allow progressively more of each at further zoom settings). Can anyone help me out with this, or at least get me pointed in the right direction?
