so new to GIMP !!!
I wonder if anyone can help? I am trying to use an image from the web that I like and it needs re-sizing. Sounds easy so far. I downloaded GIMP to help but I can't seem to get it right. The image is not large and so I went to re-size it to approx A4. The print was very pixellated. I kept the page size to approx A4 and doubled the pixels. That was better!
I found the sharpen image option which seemed to help - a little. My problem is that if I want to keep my c. 7" x 11" size when I try to triple the pixel figures beneath the inches size (to hopefully increase these and make picture clearer) putting in higher pixels makes the inches bar above 'jump' back to three inches or so.
I need to be able to increase my web picture to approx. A4 whilst keeping the pixels right so that I wont know it's just run off my printer!! Please can anyone tell me if I am being too hopeful? Do I need to spend money on a more expensive method than GIMP or am I missing something (which is more likely). Any answers, please, in very simple terms as I have only just started to use it Blush
Best wishes to all using this great forum.
