Snap guide to....
Hi there,

I've been searching for this without success. Is it possible to snap guides to things like the center of a layer? I'm not asking how to snap things to guides, but the opposite, to snap a guide to something.

Thanks in advance,
Faw

No... you can just create guides that frame the selection ("Image/Guides/New guides from selection"). It shouldn't be too hard to write a small script for this though, but once has to figure out what is the center of the layer when sides have an odd number of pixels.

Update: the script exists: http://registry.gimp.org/node/24678

Thanks a bunch, 'tis as I feared! I'll look into the script. I seem to be stuck in workflows that just jarr with gimp.

Thanks again.
