Smoothing / neatening line diagrams
Hi,

I have a number of images which are all mainly line diagrams of equipment. I'm trying to tidy up the images (they were created using xfig years ago) using gimp. The aim is to smooth them out and neaten them up a bit.

An example image would be:

If anyone has any hints or suggestions, I would love to hear them. Happy to RTFM and do some tutorials, but could do with some direction. I'm a sysadmin mainly and all this graphics stuff is a whole new world to me!

Thanks in advance,

Matt

RE: Smoothing / neatening line diagrams
Thanks for that. Inkscape seems good. It seems that I'm going to have to redo the text as most of the stuff that I've tried has totalled the text.

What settings for the 'trace bitmap' did you use to get that?
