Smart Guides?
I am attempting to switch from Photoshop to the GIMP, but am stumbling over a couple features I've grown to rely on; mainly: 'Smart Guides'.

Basically what it does in PS is make a virtual line from what your moving about to the edges of another object near by so you can make sure things are lining up well.

I'm sure I could stop being lazy and simply look at x,y placement... but if there is an add-on or hidden feature I'm overlooking that'd be better.

Thanks,

Zeph

RE: Smart Guides?
There are guides in Gimp as well... put the mouse pointer in one the two scales on the side, and drag towards the picture, it should create a guide.

The Menubar "View" menu has a "Snap to guide" selector, too.

Don't know is this qualify as "smart"... in Gimp it's considered normal Smile
