Since this General Forum is about Graphics
It's verry odd to me, that a board related to Graphics, such as these gimpforums, would be designed in a Grandma-Unfriendly way???

Scroll down this WebDesign URL to where it states GRANDMA TEST:

As far as I can see, gimpforums only allows me to change the board Style.

(1) Why can't I also change color-scheme to black-on-white (or did i miss something with my blurry photosensitive eyes?? Confused

(2) While I'm in my thread, how do I get to see if I'm subscribed to that thread?
How do I Edit My Options - so that I can get Daily Enotification To Threads I'm Suscribed to
....(instead of Instant notification)?

(3) Is there a way to subscribe to a thread I created, rather than needing to click Subscribe at every post within thread?

(4) Is there a way to change Board Style so that the Orange Buttons Below Text-Entry-Box state:
Instead of Quick-Edit Popup (which often disappears below TaskBar on my 15" screen
...(I use smaller screen because large ones zap me due to bright-phosphor intolerance

RE: Since this General Forum is about Graphics
I thought I linked you to where you could change the background and text layout of the forum.

I see you found the board style. Did you try out the "Default" theme?

shortcut to board style options:

-Click the down arrow [V] next to "Board Styles" and click on "Default"
not 'use default'

Then the style will change to black text on a white background, which you want.

Correction, this forum is related to the program Gimp, not graphics its self, and is customizable, once you know how. If you haven't used forums in a while or are a new comer to using forums, all you need is some practice.

In IE: bottom right of I.E. status bar, click the arrow next to the ":zoom: Change Zoom Level" button Picture of the Change Zoom Level button.
In FF:
In Chrome: Either use the =(options) button on the top-right, right of the address bar > "Zoom"
or "ctrl" + "+" or "-" (tap to zoom/zoom out) push "ctrl" + "0" to reset 100%

The forum uses a standard and commonly used "MyBb" bbcode format found on most forums.

For more on the features and a support forum for the forums (heheh) please go here:

RE: Since this General Forum is about Graphics
Well, thanks (now I finally got black on white it's HUGELY improved) - though the use of term Default is confusing, since I'd always thought "default" to be what you see as soon as you register. That's what threw me off I guess. BTW, of course I've been using forums over the years, but this is the first time i've encountered a Tech forum with such an "exotic" interface as soon as you register (thus never had a need to change Style). I'd find that more often on esoteric type forums.

As for Control + in Firefox, I already knew about that (and text size wasn't the issue I'd been asking about)

Uh, do you happen to know the answers to:
My questions 2, 3, and 4 above?
I mean, whats your own way of handling 2, 3 & 4?

For example, in Options of your User-CP, have you chosen to get instant notification of every response? Doesn't that fill up your mailbox - as opposed to Daily-notification? (though actually, Gimp is filling my mailbox anyway, due to lack of Daily option - unless again i'm missing something.., what's with 2, 3 & 4?
