See multiple views at once?
Hi!

I'm trying to set up my user interface so that I can work on some pixel art sprites for a video game.

I would like to have 2 views open at the same time. I need one "zoomed in" view, where I can precisely edit the image and a "zoomed out" view where I can see the entire image.

Multi-window mode is just not exactly what I'm looking for.

It's probably not possible, but it would be perfect if I could put a view into toolbox or that other box where I can see layers etc. But I can't find View in Windows-> dockable dialogs.
Or if one of the views would be treated as a toolbox or something.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Choose from the menu, View->New View.

That is the one to use.
also
I would say go out of single window mode, the 2 views do update on editing. Remember the navigation thumbnail at the bottom right of each window, useful for moving around the zoomed in image.

Also ( has this not come up before recently? ) In single window mode. Windows -> Dockable Dialogs -> Navigation.
This normally puts itself as a tab next to layers/channels/paths but it can be detached.

Or
View > "Navigation Window"

RE: See multiple views at once?
Awesome. Navigation window is perfect. Just what I've been looking for.

New View just wasn't that space efficient. Having multiple windows open was taking up a lot of space on my screen in addition to toolbox and layers box. And if I wanted to have one window on full screen, the other one went to background when I started editing on the first screen.
And in single window mode there were only tabs to switch between views, which was pointless for me.

Yes, this Navigation Window is perfect. A small preview of the image on the right side of my screen where I can also check layers and all that.

Thanks for help!
