Save as psd but when PS opens, changes size from 8.25H to 7.953H
When I Export a GIMP file that has width of 11.25 inches and height of 8.75 inches as PSD then submit it to my offset printing company, their Photoshop opens the file but it changes the height from GIMP-saved height of 8.75 inches to 7.953 inches. To verify, I double checked the size in GIMP and it is correct at height of 8.75 inches (Image, Print Size menu option shows it) and then I also verified what PS does to it by re-downloading the zipped GIMP-created Exported PSD file that I had provided them, signed up for a PS Creative Cloud 30-day trial, and opened the file myself in PS. Indeed, PS opened it at 7.953 height for me, too. PS does keep the width the way I had it in GIMP, 11.25 inches. But the height changes from 8.75 to 7.953.

How can I get GIMP to Export as PSD such that PS will open it and recognize the correct height?

Since the file is too large to attach on this forum (I tried it), here is a link to a zipped file of the original GIMP xcf file in case you wish to see it happen yourself and or for you to try a solution with it.

As far as I can see this where it is screwed. The width x height ppi are wrong.

For an image 11.25 x 8.75 ins @ 300 ppi you need a Gimp image 3375 x 2625 pix not 3508 x 2480

A fix?

You could just resize it to the correct pixel size and ppi. (break the links between width and height) That opens in PS to the correct printing dimensions
but
Your circular icons are no longer circular, not very professional. Back to the drawing board, I fear Wink

The way the pixels got off from both being 300 is that I did unlink the height and width and change to inches vs. pixels and change the height to the correct height. Maybe I did not do it all right or in the correct order. I'll experiment a bit.

Thanks for all the help. I have chosen to start from scratch with a correctly sized canvas and am now copying and pasting from the other file to this one (with both open) or adding items again manually.
