'ruler' question
Is there any way to make the image visible, when I move the image into the negative coordinates on the ruler? (I hope that makes sense)

Im basically trying to use gimp to track coordinates on an a map image, and gimp would work perfect for it, if the picture was visible in the negative range. I want to put 0,0 in the middle of the picture, and move my curser to a spot on the map, and write down the ruler coordinates, but it would only do it for x positive, and y positive quarter of the image, and I need it for the negative sections as well.

I know this is probably a strange request, but it seems like there should be a way to either renumber the ruler, or make the negatives visible.

I appreciate your help if you can figure this one out.

RE: 'ruler' question
What about the measurement tool? I am not sure, but can you not use the this tool and lock it to the ruler?
