Rotating tire
Cheers, I am looking for a way to make front view of a tire look like it's rotating ... ie the tread is moving. I have tried moving the tread, but that didn't look right.

I have seen it done but can't recreate it.

I have attached an example

Steve

One way, take a clear picture of the tread(front view like you've attached) where you can see all the treads(no blur)

Then add a light or heavy motion blur (direction) to it

1. Duplicate your tred layer
2. "Filters > Blur.. > Motion Blur..." (x) Linear
(change the "angle:" to blur downward or upward)
3. You should have 2 to 3 layers (if you want to blur more, duplicate the blurred layer.)

Then "Filters > Animation > Optimize for gif"
Use the "Playback" to check speed.
You can change delay on the layers look for (100ms)
Then go back to "Filters > Animation > Playback" to test before exporting as .gif animation
