Rich2005, need love texture tiled
Rich2005 seems to be the "tileable expert" I found a love texture on the internet but it doesn't tile... (I thought textures are supposed to tile) can you make it tileable?

Looks like you need to redo it. Start with the pink clouds and make sure tile or tilable is checked. When placing the pink hearts just stay away from the edges.

Try this:

Sorry for Hijacking this thread but we are going to Cuba!

I see you write plugins in Python instead of Script-Fu is that easier to learn? Because I asked my hubby and he just rolled his eyes and said ask about the indents. Then he went up the stairs mumbling to himself. What does he mean by that remark?

Come on, no shouting.

Some of the textures you get are just textures, not a repeatable tile, and meant to be used as a single layer.

Back to the basics, same as your wood and sea photographs, no good having lighter and darker edges. They will never match.

So just make one from scratch.

The attached xcf file is reasonably close to the original and it does tile but the main thing is see how it is made up so in future you can do it yourself.
There are 2 hearts layers one light, one darker, choose one or the other and export as a jpg for your pattern.

Another way is to make a brush, so also attached is a Gimp animated brush, paint hearts on any background you want.

Attached File(s)
.xcf  love_texture.xcf (Size: 292.61 KB / Downloads: 33)
.gih  heart.gih (Size: 527.64 KB / Downloads: 31)
