Rendering Shapes?
I'm extremely new at this but have been doing some reading.

I recently lost a pet and want to use a photo of her as a tribute. What I'd like to do is to crop a heart shape of her face and layer that into a white background. The question I have is: how on earth do you draw a perfect heart using the lasso? Please tell me there's a better way!

Thanks in advance.

RE: Rendering Shapes?
You use the Path (Path) tool.

You can also find a heart graphic on the web, and use that as the basis of your selection, or as a model for the Path above. If it's an SVG graphic, you can import is as path and scale it at will before obtaining a selection from it.

Thanks very much. That sounds like a great starting point.
