removing grid from graph paper
Gimp total gumby here.
I have a scanned to jpeg image - black lines on blue graph paper. I am attempting to remove the graph lines - I have not have any success with the color pick or alpha tools - is there a straightforward method to white out/delete these lines?

All sorts of ways, best if you post an example of the scan.
however

First thing to try is the threshold tool. Color menu -> Threshold. This on a 300 ppi scan.
