really basic...
Hi everyone,
i'm glad you are here. What i need to do is really simple. i draw very well w/ pen & pencil. i am also very good w/ the computer. however, i am simply not getting the hang of merging the two. i think GIMP is exactly what i need - but i need some more user friendly instruction to help me start. i have two images that i want to merge, reshape, and create a single image. i have watched several tutorials - but i am just not getting the idea. can anyone help me with that?
thanks,
prm

RE: really basic...
Could you post up the images as attachments, and I am sure a few people here would take and make step by step images for you... I know I would at least all though you would have to wait until tommorow and provide a description of what you would want it to look like.

Okay, I think I get what you want, although I think I am just gonna make it first, and then I will post it up, and if it is right then make a tutorial, cause this looks like it could be a bit of work

RE: really basic...this was fun-time consumptive-but fun
Hey guys - attached is what I settled for on my little project...I did this as though using MS Paint...I'm sure there were some shortcuts and tools I could have used to improve the final image - for example, where the colors need to blend to be less obviously done by hand - and the arc shape at the top looks very done by mouse & copy/paste...all in all I learn much just playing with the tools...what suggestions would you guys have for me in general or specifically to improve this image or for like work?...thanks,
prm

RE: really basic...
I would suggest that you take the "New Orleans Saints" part and put that on the Ring or what ever that is in the middle

New Orleans could be on the top part
and then Saints could be on the bottom
Hope this Helps
Willy
