Python Scripts
Do I need the Python Program for GIMP? I have read conflicting things on this.

If I really could use Python, then how do I intall it into GIMP?

RE: Python Scripts
You don't need it, unless you want to run Gimp scripts written with Python, in which case you need the Python support for Gimp. You can tell you have it by checking your "Filters" menu. If you have Python-fu with Script-fu at the bottom, the support is already installed.

As far as I can tell, it's fully included in Linux installation (I have it and haven't got any specific gimp-python package installed). For Windows, the easiest way it to install the more complete package in the gimp-win builds.

RE: Python Scripts
Thanks, ofnuts

My GIMP must have Python. I see Python-fu and Script-fu just like you said.

I have GIMP 2.6.11 for Windows and Python 3.1.2 which was installed with the Windows Installer.

Everything seems ready to go for more GIMP work. I recently reformatted by computer so I upgraded on some things.

Thank you.
