Putting Images Together
I am trying to put an image on top of another image without making it obvious that I did so. I need some way to blur/integrate the images so they look like one cohesive picture.

I've attached the images. The white part of the "cove face" needs to go onto the same spot spot of the other image with the dimensions. However, it needs to appear as if the white part belonged on the image with the dimensions.

(see attached XCF for the gory details). Border of the top one should be slightly fuzzy for a cleaner blend (3px gaussian blur).

Where do I change the top layer at? I see the menu of "mode" but it doesn't list any of those things you listed.
