Promote a selection to a layer
I have a selection that I would like to promote to a layer. I feel that I have done this before but I cannot remember how. Any thoughts?

RE: Promote a selection to a layer
If "selection"= "selection mask": new layer, and bucket-fill selection

if "selection"="selected pixels": copy, paste, new layer (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V,Ctrl-Shift-N)
