problems with gimp

problems with gimp
well im trying to learn stuff so i tryed this tutorial

the problem is when i do what he says to make the beam look beamish its looks like that

Are you using the right modes for the beam layers? I see you are not using the English version, so you may guessing wrong Smile

i downloaded the english version from now on ill work only on it but still it dosent look quit like the picture well at least itlooks more deacent now

itryed it now again in the english version and it came out like that

and another thing when he says do overlay 44% i did overlay and umm i dont know where the precent i tryd with opacity but it dosent look good
