RE: I'm having problems
I've never saw regular GIMP looking like this, but I used a GIMP Painter build that looked like this until I messed around with the themes. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I did. Try switching to a different theme in Edit-Preferences-Theme?

I think this was what I did

0. Replace (dir) with your GIMP's installation directory
1. In (dir)/share/gimp/2.0/themes create a new folder MS-Windows
2. Copy (dir)/share/themes/MS-Windows/gtk-2.0/gtkrc into this new folder
3. Switch GIMP theme to MS-Windows.
4. Restart GIMP

But honestly you should probably backup and remove your GIMP Profile, uninstall and reinstall GIMP and possibly GTK (if you have it), because normally it shouldn't look like this.

2) I seems your tablet makes it look like there is always some pressure applied to it, which is why it draws even when the pen is lifted up, and why you can't use it to select things (icons and such are actually sensitive to the "release" and not to the click). So that would be a tablet hardware/firmware/driver issue for me.
No, my tablet works fine in other programs. just not gimp Undecided

Hint, 99.99% of the posts here could be titled "I'm having problems" so if you want to get the attention of people who could have an answer edit your opening post and give it a more descriptive title ("Problem with VisTablet PenPad" or somesuch).

okay.

It's a paint dynamic I made myself. (I attached a picture of it) pretty basic, really.
