Sad Problem with Tablet Cursor
Okay, so I recently downloaded gimp and my tablet's drivers (I own a Bamboo Pen Tablet). It was working excellent last night, and was pressure sensitive and all. However, this morning, I started up gimp again with my tablet on, and found that my cursor would only go as far as the bottom of my tablet's pad. When I tried drawing with my tablet on in the area it could reach, it showed the Paintbrush icon and my cursor, but no dotted circle showing I could draw. I tried turning off the screen and letting the computer "rest" a bit before I tried again. I'm really bugged that I can't get this to work, and don't understand why this is messing up. Outside of gimp, my tablet works fine, like here on the internet.
Thank you very much if you can help.

The tablet can be in "screen" mode or in "window" mode. What you are showing on DA is that your are in window mode.

The tablet acts a mouse in most apps, so you can't really deduce anything from its proper behavior outside of Gimp (except that the USB link is OK).

There are things that are attached to the tablet or the mouse and not to the tablet and the mouse, such as brush settings, or cursor display... the real test is to go in Edit/Preferences/input devices and see if "Configure input devices" lists your tablet (at least a stylus tip, and perhaps an eraser tip).

I changed it to "Screen" mode on the "Configure input devices" list. I tried opening a new image, and drawing, however, it ended up the same.

RE: Problem with Tablet Cursor
I tried opening up gimp without my tablet, then plugging it in, but it resulted in gimp not reading my tablet.
Then, I tried opening up gimp WITH my tablet, and the same results came out.

1)same results as what?
2) your signature is much too big to be comfortable. Please keep the height under 150px.
