printing a pdf my way
I have a pdf file of a lake. it's a contour map of the lake. It will not print in any size other than the one default.

I have converted it to a *.gif file thinking i could manipulate how it prints .... I need to divide the gif or the pdf into 3 and print them as full page each. Does anyone know how i could do this ???

thanks,
Nate

RE: printing a pdf my way
You may be barking up the wrong tree. Look at PDF handling tools such as Ghostscript.

It also depends if the PDF contains the map as a bitmap or as curves. In the first case blowing it up will likely reduce sharpness (lo-fi solution: make decent print at default size, scan print at higher resolution, split scan in several images, and print these).
