OrthoImagery, PNG, Screen Flashes
I have been using gimp for the last 3 years to convert orthoimagery from colored to grayscale. this year is the first year that gimp has decided to not work... when ever i open the file, the screens start flashing like some german disco. the files are large, but as previously stated, this has been working for the past previous two years with out a hitch... what did you guys screw up to make this not work anymore? sorry for the annoyance, but there is no reason this should be occurring.

RE: OrthoImagery, PNG, Screen Flashes
Sorry nsummitt, but everyone assumes the developers of GIMP hang out with us here. The helpful people here cannot read your mind. So you need to provide them version and OS at the very least. Unless someone can get back with another answer;

These are better avenues to seek a developer:

There are many "user" forums such as this one that are basic users such as yourself trying to cope with version changes. I know you didn't mean the users of the GIMP screwed it up, but if you are using 2.8.x I would suggest you revert to 2.6 until your issue is resolved.
