Original image changed
Hi,
I am a new user, so this might be a dumb question. I created some luminosity channels for use as masks. Once the channels were completed, I went back to layers to open my original image. When I open it, I see the checkerboard pattern with moving ants inside the checkerboard image. Did I damage my original image, or is there is a way of open it from what I am seeing?

Lost in Gimp -- will greatly appreciate any help.

RE: Original image changed
The checkerboard pattern signifies that the area is transparent and the marching ants let you know that there is an active selection. What is the image you are working on specifically? Do you have a screenshot of the Gimp screen?
