optimize an image

optimize an image
Good morning
Trying to optimize an image to use on the web, I was able to scale down to the size I needed but it is to big of a file, thx

Thx for your help, I see where you can adjust quality, it gives you 3 options or none. but no manner which one you choose it does not change the file size, when I look at the image properties, thx again

Thx again for your help, I don't get this panel when I go to file menu, then save as, it just list my computer file folders. maybe I am on a different version, 2.8.6, mac maverick, Thx RJ
