Normal Maps
Hi, I was just wondering if there is any way to effectively apply a normal map to a texture in gimp? There seem to be a lot of tutorials on creating them, but none on applying them.
Thanks Smile

RE: Normal Maps
You are in luck...

GIMP doesn't have normals, verticies, or 3D mesh. Those are for 3D programs which is not GIMP. So how is that lucky?

I wouldn't know a thing about all that unless both my sons used Blender 3D. You can get it at for free.
btw I almost forgot, there is a Blender plugin so that you can use both together, since Blender is not a very good 2D paint program either.

RE: Normal Maps
Thanks a lot, I've heard of Blender, but not the plugin to help it and gimp work together - I'll have to look into that Smile Thanks again
