No circle for eraser tool?

No circle for eraser tool?
I've selected the eraser tool from the Toolbox.
Looking at the Tool Options dialogue box, I click the small image to select the brush to erase with?
I have no circles or anything to erase with, just the large detailed brushes that I installed.
Did I accidentally delete the circles for the eraser tool? Is there a place to download them again?
Or am I just looking in the wrong place?
Thank you.

RE: No circle for eraser tool?
It sounds like you have not got the system brushes folder included:

Look at Edit>>Preferences>>Folders>>Brushes and make sure you have an entry like: C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.8.10\share\gimp\2.0\brushes (which is where they are on my Windows 7 installation)

Kevin

Note: Your system path will be different to mine

RE: No circle for eraser tool?
As well as the above

What OS and version of Gimp?

First guess, you might have a tag enabled.

1. In the brushes dialog is there a (category) name above the brushes?
2. Click on the arrow and do a list of categories show?
3. If anything in the box, can you click and delete what is there to show all the brushes?

RE: No circle for eraser tool?
Wow, you guys are fast here! I couldn't find the system brushes that you mentioned, but I did figure out how to make brushes with this other handy tutorial that you guys have: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Custom_Brushes/
So I just made some circles and squares to use for the eraser tool. I don't do anything fancy so this is all that I really need. Thank you for your fast response!

That still sounds very screwed up.

In Gimp menu Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> Brushes

should look like this http://i.imgur.com/ac4bYRZ.jpg

And the folders containing the brushes you can find from that and looks like this (assuming M$ Win7). http://i.imgur.com/V9Ap3Tk.jpg
