Newb Alert! Unable to import images!
I heard many good things about Gimp so I downloaded it, eager to begin editing my photos. But for the last 30 minutes, I have been unable to even upload an image to begin editing. I've tried everything, but no matter what, my images will not "drag and drop" like they're supposed to. I am getting more and more frustrated by the second. Angry I read it might be the fact that it's a "jpg" file,so I tried renaming it, as suggested, still, no luck!! Please, help me figure this out!!! I'm using a Mac Os X 10.6.8

RE: Newb Alert! Unable to import images!
First, you can always start Gimp, and use the File/Open menus.

Or, when Gimp is started you can drag picture to the empty image window or to the Toolbox.

If you expect your OS to start Gimp if you drag something on the Gimp icon, then it is a different matter.. Does Gimp start using regular methods (clicking its icon, for instance)?
