New to Gimp & Lion
Hello
Recently updated to lion only to find my old version of Photoshop no longer worked and I really do/did not want to spend loads of money to update. I remebered Gimp from way back so went in search of it again and found Gimpshop. I downloaded this and installed it onto my Mac Pro running Lion. When I first clicked on the Gimpshop icon I got a message saying that it was cahing fonts, this then closed and nothing happened. Now when I try to open Gimpshop I getan X11 icon in the dock and that is all, nothing, no Gimpshop  Is this not working with Lion or have I missed something ? Thanks. |

Hi Chris. Gimpshop hasn't been updated for a while now and the development is on hold. I would stick with the original version of GIMP, which is in active development and updated regularly.
