Moving Text
Hello everyone, new guy here with a question.

I am sort of new to Gimp although I dabble with it and other software here and there. Basically what I want to do is make this text move similar to the Star Wars opening description on the movies.

The only thing I want to be animated is the "Episodes 1 ......." text. I want it to move back at an angle, as well as get smaller so that it doesn't go out of screen but so that other text can scroll. Im not looking to fit a book in there but maybe another paragraph.

Im not asking for someone to give me a step by step, but maybe point me in the right direction.

Edit: By the way, I want it to be a gif, so using perspective and making the top smaller isn't an option. Thanks!

RE: Moving Text
Thank you kindly for the quick response!

While I do want to try this myself for the experience, where is there a script that does something similar? I've already found out going too deep into perspective doesn't give the greatest results but if the blur is towards the back as the text gets smaller, I'm ok with that.

Would the blur happen immediately or would it just be when the perspective "mesh" gets too small to display the pixels correctly?

RE: Moving Text
You could try this method using GAP (gimp animation plugin)

However, installing GAP for 2.8 or the latest gimp may not be straightforward, but it looks good Smile

That looks promising, thank you for your reply.
