More rounded smooth corners?
Thanks for all previous help.

I've created a 1px border rounded rectangle, (image attached) however, the corners sems jagged and flat. Is there a way to create more smoothed rounded corners?

Give "Select > Rounded Rectangle" from the image menu bar a try.

RE: More rounded smooth corners?
Is the attached image the finished size ?

If it is then the radius at the corners is only 4 pix ie. too small to be 'rounded'

Thanks for the replies.
If 4px is too small to be rounded, what's the minimum?
Thanks

4px isn't too small. But close inspection of your drawing shows no anti-aliased pixels. If you want round corners at that size, you have to check the "anti-aliasing" box in the "line style" section of the "Stroke selection" (or "Stroke path") dialog.

I did notice the 'no antialiasing' but when it comes to these small values, unlike the atom you can not split a pixel. You have a nice 1 pixel outline for your image, you will have to give that up using antialiasing.

A suitable value for the radius, all in the eye of the beholder. Some tests, made using a selection, no antialiasing, then stroked with a 1 pixel brush rather than the regular 1 pix stroke setting.

Generally look awful. You might try say 10 pix radius and some hand editing on the pixel level. Still does not look good. Keep the bevel.

Not really... of course that will paint on more than one pixel, but the visual result will be one pixel. You can even make subpixel lines; i I have a python script to create a ribbon from a path, and to my great surprise, one user creates subpixel ribbons with it, that he bucket-fills after transforming them into selection.
