Making Yugioh Cards?
I was wondering if someone could help me design a Yugioh card with this template or if there are any available tutorials for making Yugioh cards with GIMP.

RE: Making Yugioh Cards?
The PSD template loads fine in Gimp. Now what do you want to do with it?

Well I was wondering how do I make and modify cards step by step. I have been using GIMP for a while, but I've never got the hang of it.

If you load the file you'll find (in the Layers list, Ctrl-L) that every element of the card is on its own layer, and so can be replaced easily by editing or replacing the layer. It seems there are even elements where you only need to make the adequate layer visible. Once you master that part, it becomes a matter of telling us which mayer you want to change and what you want in it.

Do you make the layer visible by clicking on the eye? Nothing happens when I do it. I also right clicked over one of the layers to see if I could get it to show up, but I just got random stuff to happen like making the grey squares disappear, making a black box appear next to one of the layer icons, etc.

RE: Making Yugioh Cards?
It makes the layer visible but there should be no layers over it (or they should be transparent). The Layers display show the layers "stack", the top layers are more likely to show than the bottom ones. The Layer "mode" (selector at the top of the Layers list) is also important.

Many of the layers in that image are small things, this is how these images are done. The more layers you have, the easier it is to change the image, or to generate different images from a given stack of layers.
