making the edit window active
There may be something obvious that I don't know about. Let me just ask you.

When I edit a tool option (like size for paint brush), then I want to go to the main window, you have to click the window before you can do anything else.

For instance, the last tool I used was "erase", then I'm changing tools in the tool window to "smear": So after I change the tool, I have to click the window and I erase something that I have to undo. I know how I can click in the window on a part that doesn't matter if I erase or not. I am working around it OK. It is just a lot of mouse work, when I'm changing sizes all the time in paint, smear and erase.

Is there a trick you can tell me about? Thank you.
Terry

RE: making the edit window active
I just click on the Main Windows Title Bar to reset the focus.

RE: making the edit window active
I really like the [ & ] shortcuts.
I can't replicate how the former tool is still active until you activate the screen; but I'm OK for now..
Thank you.
