make a background similar to this
   


The diagonal black and white background... how can I reproduce this? maybe with two colors of my own. but I want to use the black and white first. and it doesn't go entirely the image and I'd like to keep it that way in my works. how do I do this?

Pencil tool Pencil hold shift. Sometimes the best effect is drawn by hand art.

You can draw a few lines, then copy & paste. (see image)

I can't see any automated way generating the stripes. Best I can think of is making a brush to paint in the stripes.
