Love GIMP-- but am missing the tear-off submenus
Have been looking far and wide to find out what the status of the tear-off submenus is in the latest versions of GIMP.
I am currently using 2.6.8 on Linux Mint Isadora. The dotted lines still appear on the menu, and they tear off as they should... but nothing will happen if I click on the items I need. I am forced to use the menu at the top. Perhaps I may not have configured my settings correctly-- maybe someone has had a similar experience and may know what can be done? I have always liked the tear off menus because they are handy to have floating-- and save me from having to make a lot of extra clicks. One of the reasons I have always liked GIMP is the flexibility of the interface. Thanks all! |
