losing the cross hair

losing the cross hair
m just new to Gimp. while operating i accidently
lost my crosshair (mayb it the cusor) and get back the
pencil and when i move the mouse it will paint all
black. I want to get the original things

pls help me out of this frustration!

There is no "cross-hair" in Gimp, because the pointer is always associated to the current Tool (the brush, by default). The brush doesn't paint unless you click while you move the mouse. If you want to avoid false moves, use the Measure tool (compass icon)(that by the way uses a cross-hair pointer...)
