line color in line nova
I found out that you can't change line color in the line nova because a fix to prevent white on white or something like that. Is there another way to change the line color. Thanks in advance

RE: line color in line nova
It uses the defined foreground color.

(of course, this assumes that your image in in RGB mode, and not grayscale or color-indexed).

@denster

Looks like you found a bug. It works as expected in Gimp 2.6 but in Gimp 2.8.2 all you get is black regardless of the foreground colour. Tried it in linux and winxp.
A quick search and I can't find this reported as a bug.

Maybe apply in its own layer, make a selection & fill with required colour.

edit: another way, use a layer mask, white full transparency, on a coloured layer
Working on the layer mask, apply line nova, then apply invert colors.

Thanks. I thought I was doing something wrong. I wish I would have saved 2.6 on disc before I upgraded. You can still some things with it if you fill with foreground color first. Will try a second layer. Still a lot of fun though.

RE: line color in line nova
This is a script, so it's perfectly editable. The file is line-nova.scm and the offending line in that file is
Code:
(gimp-context-set-defaults)
which is setting the foreground colour back to the default black (amongst other things).

Try commenting it out (prefix the line with a semi-colon ; )

I'm not all that great on computer language so I'm kind of leery of changing anything. I can work with it the way it is and wait for 2.9 and hope its fixed. Thanks a bunch anyway. Have a great day
