lighten part of the picture

lighten part of the picture
Dear all,

I have this picture a container on a truck. i would like to lighten the whole truck and leave only the container clear. May I know what's the easiest way around to do it ? Cos I am not very good with my photoshop skills.

You mean "Gimp" skills, you're using Gimp not photoshop Wink

Anyways lol,
Use the Rectselect to select the container.
Then
-Select > Invert
- Colors > Curves " or "Colors > Levels..."

If its not a perfect rectangel, use the Freeselect free select / lasso tool & select the container by drawing or clicking points around it.

Not sure what you mean by having the container clear. Do you mean white, or transparent(see-through)
